Excellent Caroline. Very much here to ponder

Positrons are NOT Dark Matter; they are anti-matter; the anti-particle to the electron - exactly the same as the electron but with positive charge. As such they interact with the electromagnetic field and so are not "dark". Dark matter is postulated as matter needed for additional gravitational pull to explain the otherwise missing mass needed to hold galaxies, but it seems to not interact much otherwise, and not electromagnetically. I think some theories allow Dark Matter to feel the Weak interaction (like neutrinos). So it's postulated as something like neutrinos but with more mass.

You are confusing Anti-Matter with Dark Matter

Thank you for that correction Martin.

No problem. My background was originally physics. The positron was the first predicted anti-particle arising from the relativistic Dirac equation for the electron. It only works with a 4-value vector interpreted as either an electron or a positron state with spin up or down.

Thank you what a breathe of fresh air. I've wondered about the sr especially as people are saying they feel like they've been irradiated

A pleasure Tracy. Tomsk was started in the Cold War so it makes sense it was being used to monitor energy spikes either from lightning or bombs!

Also men of the navy like my dad were exposed to radiation without knowing the long term effects. He died of leukemia, bone marrow, prostate cancer with metastatic problems everywhere. I nursed him till he died peacefully at home. He never made the connection so I kept it to myself as everyone thought I was a weird nurse that just hated big pharma.

Hi Caroline…I was in Portugal for a few days and sky was blue, sun was shining…here in the U.K. it has been cloudy for months now. There have been some gridding here…my doubt is: why so much gridding here but not in Portugal… or Egypt for instance? Do they do it over farmland areas only?
